Nigeria is fifty!

All is not well with the state of our nation Nigeria.

It is in fact a mixed blessing situation.

There is poverty in the land, unemployment is high and so is inter tribal wars.

Yet we are a loved nation chosen by God and blessed with abundant human and natural resources.

We could be more prosperous as a nation if all these were properly harnessed.

A group in the society suffers the most from a malfunctioning country like ours.

Women and children are the most affected by poverty, poor health care services, war, kidnapping, unemployment and bad education system and are the most vulnerable to the insecurity of the country.

The woman despite all she goes through is still the bedrock of the Africa family, keeping it all together.

The population of women is higher than any other group in Nigeria.

Yet we have the least say on issues of nation building.

We cannot keep watching while things get worse for ourselves and our loved ones.

That is why today, dear Nigerian woman, you must rise up to demand better of the status quo.

Our nation needs us to become a role models and ambassadors of its needed change. When a woman taps into a vision she influences her family and society at large.

It is not too late, regardless of your tribe, religion or cultural belief, women lets rise in one accord to rebuild our nation.

All for one one for all.
